Four Black Sun clients nominated for IRS Best Practice Awards

African Barrick Gold, BAE Systems, Tullow Oil and Xstrata have all been nominated at this year's IRS Best Practice Awards.

African Barrick Gold have been shortlisted for the 'best communication of strategy, performance and KPIs in the Annual Report'; BAE Systems and Tullow Oil for the 'best communication of governance and risk in the Annual Report' and Xstrata has been shortlisted for 'best communication of corporate responsibility in the Annual Report'.

The Awards aim to recognise best practice in investor communications through Annual Reports and websites. The Society extended the awards to include both on-line and printed communication in key areas of the business review.

The 2011 Best Practice Awards will be presented at the Society's Annual Dinner on Tuesday 22nd November 2011 at the Pavilion within the Tower of London.

NMLK for ‘Best presentation of the company’s investment case in an Annual Report’ and ‘Best Annual Report among central federal district companies’. Kazakhmys won 3rd place for ‘Best Annual Report by a foreign company nomination’.
