
Richard Dixon
Director of Customer Optimisation
In 2003 Richard joined Black Sun and has helped clients
optimise the value of their customers. Highlights
of the work include developing a data driven communications
strategy for British Airways and Opodo, redefining
Eurostar's frequent traveller programme, developing
a retention programme for Birmingham Midshires mortgage
customers, and most recently creating and managing
a membership programme for Barclays Premier customers.
Richard has twenty years’ experience in marketing
across a range of disciplines including product management,
promotions, customer acquisition and CRM. In 1998
in his role as Head of CRM at O2 he created the world's
first mobile phone loyalty programme and over the
next few years reduced O2's churn by 50%.
Richard has a unique combination of both client and agency experience, and real expertise in retaining and growing the value of customers across a range of different sectors.
Richard has a degree in European Business Studies from the European Business School in London.
