Black Sun

Our Responsibilites

At Black Sun we understand the importance of behaving responsibly when working with our key stakeholders. Fundamental to developing long-term relationships are our policies that help us maintain a sustainable business and set a standard to which we all adhere.

Our CSR Commitment

As a partner to some of the UK’s leading businesses we also recognise the fundamental importance of good practice in Corporate Social Responsibility.

We recognise that any modern business must be aware of and responsible for the impacts upon society and the environment that arise through the provision of products and services. Black Sun takes these responsibilities seriously and is committed to understanding, managing and monitoring our environmental and social impacts.

Human Resources

We recognise that without our employees Black Sun would not be able to grow and develop as a business. We invest in our employees through continual education, support and training.

We strive to motivate and develop our employees, enabling them to play a vital role in the success of Black Sun. Our theory is simple, grow our employees and we will grow our business.

Health and Safety

Under existing Health and Safety at Work legislation, the company has a duty to ensure the health, safety and welfare at work of all its employees and other persons under its control, so far as is reasonably practicable, aiming to conduct its activities in such a way as to minimise any possible risk to these individuals.

We are committed to ensuring the health, safety and welfare of all employees and to maintaining the best possible standards in this respect.

Security and Disaster Recovery

We take the security of our client information very seriously and have a robust Business Continuity plan in place should the need for disaster recovery occur. We are happy to discuss this in further detail if required. Download the PDF here.

Blacksun Fundraiser

80 for Haiti logo
Raising for DEC

Black Sun completed the 80km journey from Fulham to Brighton sea front, raising over £5,700 in donations, as part of their contribution to the relief effort following the devastating earthquake in Haiti.

On a crisp Sunday morning, the team endured punctured tyres, broken chains and crippling hills to reach the sea front for fish and chips by mid-afternoon.

Thank you to all that have given generously and supported us on our journey. You can continue to make a donation at our Just Giving webpage.

Sponsorship raised will be donated to the Disaster Emergency Committee (DEC), an organisation uniting agency efforts in times of disaster, across the world.

PROMOTING CREATIVITY

Since 1991 we have regularly published the Black Sun photographic monograph – a publication designed and produced by Black Sun that promotes the unpublished work or personal projects of photographers with whom we have worked commercially
