The Challenge

De Beers is the world‘s best known diamond company, and wanted to create a website with a WOW factor that lived the brand and communicated its leadership position.

So creating a balance between creative brilliance, an intuitive user experience, and technical excellence became a challenge as we transformed their corporate website.

Our Approach

In relaunching the website we aimed to create a core destination for content and commentary for The De Beers Group of Companies, its operations, pipeline and a place that users can understand its ongoing performance.

Furthermore, developing a digital identity that 'lived the De Beers' brand and separated it from the competition. Utilising imagery and stories from around the Group became a central pillar to the creative direction.

By understanding the key audiences, we were able to develop a website structure and content strategy that would meet their needs in a highly engaging way.

The creative strategy was to draw on the incredible heritage and expertise to develop a compelling storytelling narrative for the website. The website delivers an immersive experience that combines words, images and multimedia.

As an ever-evolving communications tool, an easy-to-use content management system was a pre-requisite. Our powerful platform - CONNECT - empowers De Beers to manage the content from anywhere in the world.
