The challenge

Inchcape is a global company, with its workforce dispersed across many territories and working in many different environments from offices to distribution hubs and showrooms.

As part of the company strategy to promote working smarter, Inchcape wanted to create a new generation of intranet that was focussed on enabling closer working and collaboration, as well as a global communications tool.

Our Approach

As a longstanding communications partner, Black Sun worked with Inchcape to define the scope of the project and ensure that the technology could deliver on the strategic objectives of creating a communications and collaboration portal that connected all colleagues across the 26 territories. 

Discovery workshops elicited the key business requirements, technological requirements and explored what content and features would ensure high levels of employee engagement.

The Solution

iConnect delivers:

  • A global communications portal, accessible by any employee from desktop or mobile devices
  • A platform for the distribution of companywide strategic information – CEO messages and performance updates
  • The ability to publish regional and local content in local language

The Outcome

Social network with the ability of employees to share content, ask questions, and follow news feeds.
