Capital Markets Day campaign

Bunzl is a focused and successful international distribution group providing customised and innovative solutions to B2B customers.

This year, Bunzl was looking to facilitate a live Capital Markets Day (CMD) in London on 11th October for both a physical audience and live streaming to an online audience, alongside a series of pre-recorded videos to utilise throughout the event. All flown through a campaign that supports telling the Bunzl story, and setting out the sustainability ambitions for the business.

All flown through a campaign that supports telling the Bunzl story, and setting out the sustainability ambitions for the business. 



Creating a distinctive campaign identity

We worked alongside Bunzl to create a distinct graphic identity and messaging for their Capital Markets Day, ensuring consistent application of the identity across all key touchpoints. Our corporate communications and sustainability specialists developed a compelling campaign narrative to form the foundation for all communications. This provided a robust framework for the campaign theme, and ensured the communications objectives were cohesively delivered through each channel including film, digital and physical event space and event collateral.

Storytelling through film

The Intro film needed to show rather than tell the story of Bunzl’s essential solutions and services across the globe. Using a short narrative to deliver key messages as text on screen, coupled with an upbeat music track, creating a high impact start to the Capital Markets Day.

The Sustainability narrative was framed as a journey, highlighting how the actions taken today, and the initiatives planned for tomorrow, will help create a more sustainable future for all stakeholders. We captured Bunzl’s sustainability pillars in action within the context of employee operations and customer sectors that were featured in the Intro film. The outcome was able to demonstrate how sustainability is at the core of everything Bunzl do.

We developed an event microsite to situate both the in-person and remote audience whilst also catering for those who would be experiencing both. We utilised VideoSync, being incredibly customisable, secure and providing integrated registration services.

The pre-live landing page enabled us to present event details alongside the registration process and any other supporting information as required. The creation of this microsite also enabled us to transition into a post-live state, informing viewers about the on-demand video replay and further information. 

Through aligning these three key sections, providing a robust foundation through a distinctive campaign, showing rather than telling Bunzl’s unique story through film and enabling audiences easy access to the content through the hybrid event space, positioned through a seamless microsite.

We were able to present Bunzl’s’ CMD overarching campaign theme; the difference is essential through this project. Tying together the main parts under this theme and setting out Bunzl’s sustainability proposition. Told across varying formats, particularly through long-form narratives on the sustainability story specifically, we helped explain Bunzl’s positioning in a resonant and impactful way.
